   Provide strategic long- and short-term vision for the organization and ensure that Maisha enacts this vision to its greatest capacity.• Identify, assess, and inform the Board of Directors of internal and external issues that affect the organization. • Develop operational plans incorporating goals and objectives working towards the strategic direction of the organization.• Ensure that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the organization\'s mission.• Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.• Recruit, interview, and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities to help further the organization\'s mission.• Ensure that all staff receives an orientation to the organization and that appropriate training is provided.• Formulate and implement strategies for development and fundraising, maintain current funding sources, and expand the funding base to support Maisha\'s organizational needs.• Identify prospective major donors and foundations and determine outreach efforts to develop and grow the donor base.• Serve as a key spokesperson for Maisha and oversee communications, media, and social media presence.• Cultivate, manage, and support the Board of Directors\' leadership, as well as assist in building the Board and educating new members about the organization and their responsibilities.• Research funding sources, oversee the development and write funding proposals to increase funds.• Communicate with donors through various mediums and generate reports to be used for strategic planning and tracking efforts.• Ensure compliance to minimum standards in accordance with all government legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
