Brotherhood Mutual insures America’s churches and related ministries. We have for 100 years. But there’s more. From our perspective, insurance is more than a commercial endeavor. It’s a platform to accomplish our mission: to help America’s churches and related ministries build the Kingdom. We do that by providing quality property and liability insurance coverage, custom designed to help churches and related ministries do their work safely and effectively. As VP & Chief Actuary, my role is to ensure that our insurance product pricing is both adequate and sustainable for our churches and ministries. My team plays a significant role in the development of product enhancement, including new coverage ideas and pricing.
ABOUT JOSH SPENCER
Josh Spencer joined Brotherhood Mutual in 2014 and held the position of Senior Actuary. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President & Chief Actuary in 2015 and assumed his current responsibilities in February 2019. Prior to coming to Brotherhood Mutual, he worked for Towers Watson‘s Risk Consulting and Software practice. Spencer holds a degree in actuarial science, finance, and insurance from Ball State University. He earned his Associateship in the Society of Actuaries and his certification as a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst in 2013. In 2014, he earned his Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society and in 2016 he completed his CPCU designation. He currently serves on the Ball State Actuarial Science Advisory Board. Josh also serves on the board of NeighborLink, a nonprofit focused on neighbor-to-neighbor expressions of God‘s love.
