About Beatrice Bosco

Throughout my varied career, I’ve tackled a vast array of unique challenges for non-profit organizations with the tenacity and attention to detail to see them through to completion. As someone who’s worked her whole life in education, the arts, and media, I’ve accumulated a proven track record for planning, managing, and speaking publicly about all types of exciting and innovative initiatives. Give me the reins to any complex collaborative project, and I thrive. In my most recent position at WBEZ-Chicago Public Media, I managed a range of special projects, including a three-year,$1.9 million archive digitization project, the updating and implementation of a document retention policy with new contract management software, supervising the programming portion of our annual million-dollar gala, and managing the Pritzker Fellowship, a highly competitive program for journalists from underserved communities. My journey into the world of collaborative leadership started with my love for the theatre. Before joining WBEZ-Chicago Public Media, I put my Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama to good use as Program Director of the Chicago Arts Program, where I led a team that provided a comprehensive semester of study in the arts. For the last six years, I have also served as a consultant for the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Arts and Culture programs acting as a go-between for the Foundation and artists in the Chicago theatre, dance, and performance community.Through the years, I have fused my love for performance, directing, producing, research, and collaboration into a well-honed multitasking, organizational, and managerial skillset.
