Artist Bea Last will be running Visual Art Studio, an intensive short course for young people. These workshops may help to boost your portfolio for applying to Art School or just help you explore your creative practice!Each session will present a specific focus such as creative drawing, drawing to perform, sculptural forms, printmaking, sketchbooks and collage. Participants will also consider documentation, installation, sourcing materials and creating personal development projects.This course is for young people from Dumfries & Galloway, who are aged 16-25 years. It will take place on Saturdays throughout Term 1 at Gracefield Arts Centre. Find more information and apply is a FREE course but spaces are limited so you will need to book. Deadline for applications is 1st August.

My professional Creative Practice is process led, using materials that are Recycled, Repurposed, Salvaged, Found or Gifted to create what I refer to as Sculptural Drawing Installations. Responding to current global issues such as conflict, humanitarian crisis\', mass human migration and generational trauma the choice of materials are a reflection on what it is to be human - fragility, vulnerability, strength, endurance.
