About Becca Doten

Becca Doten is a Senior Managing Director in Actum’s Los Angeles office. She is known for pairing strategic narrative development with operational execution to help leaders navigate regulatory scrutiny, political visibility, and reputational complexity.Becca has more than 20 years of experience in the public sector, most recently serving as Chief of Staff at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). In this role, she oversaw the strategy and executive positioning for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport (VNY) during one of the largest airport modernization programs in the United States. During her more than eight years at LAWA, her work spanned public affairs, government strategy, and enterprise operations, and she advised executive teams through major infrastructure investments, crisis response, and complex stakeholder environments at the local, state, and federal levels.Earlier in her career, Becca held senior communications, policy, and public affairs roles across Los Angeles city government and statewide public service that included serving as Chief of Staff to a Los Angeles City Councilmember, holding a leadership role with a Los Angeles Mayor’s Administration, and serving as Deputy State Controller for External Affairs.Becca is a Reserve Officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, a Board Member of Students Run LA, and the proud mother of two adopted children. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Film Production from the University of Southern California.
