Take patients\' case history and conduct physical examinations• Diagnose neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of the spinal column, pelvis, extremities and associated tissues• Treat neuro-musculoskeletal disorders via adjustments or articular manipulations• Treat neuro-musculoskeletal disorders via contemporary medical acupuncture• Use a brief, fast thrust to move the joints of the spine beyond the normal range, but within the anatomical range of motion to restore movement• Perform routine and/or emergency X-ray imaging and interpret radiographs• Order or request outpatient X-rays, diagnostic ultrasound or MRI to confirm a suspected diagnosis• Use additional treatments such as trigger point therapy, and corporeal shockwave• Refer to pain clinics for treatment such as lidocaine or cortisone injections• Prescribe and fit custom orthotics for biomechanical dysfunctions of the feet• Advise patients on corrective exercises, posture, lifestyle and nutrition that have positive effects on the spine, joints, muscles and nervous system.• Refer patients to other healthcare professionals when appropriate
