ABOUT BRUNO ARAÚJO

Bruno Rodrigues De Araujo is a Research Scientist in the Input Explorations team at Meta unleashing interaction for the next computing leap. Prior to that, he was a Director Mixed Reality Division at Tactual Labs exploring new sensing technologies and its applications for Multi-touch Displays, Mixed Reality, Gaming and Automotive Industry. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto at the Dynamic Graphics Project group. He completed his PhD at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST/UTL) from the University of Lisbon in 2013 and he has pursued his research as a posdoctoral researcher at the MINT group from INRIA Lille Nord Europe. He received a MSc and BS degree in Computer Science from IST in 2008 and 2003 respectively. Since 2001, he has been a researcher at INESC-ID and in 2002, he joined the Intelligent MultiModal Interfaces Group. He participated in three European Project SATIN, Improve and SmartSketches. His research interests include 3D user interfaces, virtual reality, constraint based modelling and advanced interaction techniques for 3D surfacing and interaction with large scale display. In 2004, he started the elaboration of a new Lab at the IST TagusPark facility where the main component is a multi-projector system named LEMeWall using 12 projectors and a PC Cluster. His research has focused on providing innovative interaction techniques using advanced visualization environment to support 3D design review.
