ABOUT BRANDON BELL

With over ten years of experience in the planning field, I am a passionate and skilled senior planner who specializes in zoning by-law interpretation and development. I work at the Town of Caledon, a dynamic and growing municipality that strives to preserve its natural and cultural heritage, foster a healthy and prosperous community, and promote a sustainable and resilient environment. I share the Town\'s vision and values, and I am committed to enhancing the quality of life and well-being of its residents and stakeholders. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the planning team, having worked in both urban and rural settings, and having collaborated with various internal and external partners, such as developers, consultants, agencies, and the public.As a senior planner, I am responsible for the day-to-day interpretation of the Zoning By-law and planning for the future Comprehensive Zoning By-law. I also chair and coordinate technical review and special project committee meetings, review development applications, and develop priority projects, such as the Brampton Airport, Poltawa Lands, and Downtown Bolton\'s Revitalization. I leverage my skills in planning, project coordination, and report writing to deliver high-quality and timely results, while ensuring compliance with the Official Plan policies and Provincial land use legislation. I also use my communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to provide expert technical advice, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and resolve complex planning issues.
