ABOUT BEN DASHTESTANI

As a Structural engineering graduate, I have worked on the Keystone XL Oil Pipeline project, the Woodland Capacity Expansion project and provided structural construction support to the Winchell Lake Compressor Station Project. I am a structural MEng graduate with technical skills in structural design/analysis, knowledge of major design codes and civil modeling software as well as experience in reinforced concrete research. As a NSERC Research Assistant at the University of Alberta’s Morrison Structural Laboratory, I facilitated the early completion of a graduate project’s lab tasks during my work term. Both of my undergraduate senior projects focused on the modeling and design of civil structures with one project being presented with DIALOG’s 2012 Award of Merit. In addition, I became a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society due to my first class standing and later, graduated with distinction.
