   San Lorenzo Unified School District

   Led extensive building renovations across 16 campuses as part of a $130 million bond program and construction effort, working closely with senior administration and key board members to prioritize capital improvements. Completed 60% of bond goals, including campus renovations, accessibility improvements (ADA), access control, safety and security upgrades, re-roofing, and campus beautification. I oversee staff, external consultants, program management, budgeting, planning, design, and construction from conception to closing and handover of the projects to end users and the operations and maintenance team.Key Achievements:• Reduced change order costs from 12% to 5% of total project cost (Approx.$5M).• Developed District’s Standard Design Guidelines for architects and engineers.• Directed the execution of 30+ projects as part of the District’s bond construction program.• Led construction management organization supporting the needs of students, 800+ staff, and 1.2+ million square feet of facilities across 16 campuses, per the District’s short and long-term goals.• Facilitated program team meetings and cross-functional communication to align with internal and external stakeholders and District’s long-term goals.• Established and maintained program/project timelines for accurate project financials and portfolio analyses.• Oversaw and prepared project team budgets in collaboration with finance and other departments.• Leverage team management best practices to collaborate and conceptualizes to gain stakeholder buy-in on agendas and the structures for final deliverables as well as collaborating with various offices.• Directed the development, construction, remodeling, and renovation of physical facilities at the District• Collaborated in the development or revisions of policies and procedures and advised the administrative cabinet• Coordinated the bid and contract processes for department projects.
