Responsibilities include Motor Control Center (MCC)/Switchgear Sizing, Over-current/Overload Protection Selection, Cable/Conductor Sizing, developing Cable Block Diagrams, developing One Line Diagrams, Writing Equipment Technical Datasheets and Specifications while optimizing cost-effectiveness and enhancing power delivery efficiency in design.• Managed and oversaw the development of internal Engineering Procurement Packages for the procurement of multi million-dollar electrical equipment, including oil-filled station transformers, Low voltage Switchgear, Standby Diesel Generators, Battery Chargers, etc. • Supported the design of a comprehensive plant-wide grounding grid system, integrating lightning arresters and grounding rods to achieve effectiveness in grounding and lightning protection, mitigating operational risks.• Optimized the design of plant-wide lighting and peripheral equipment infrastructure, supporting thedesign/placement of welding/general purpose receptacles and lighting fixtures while adhering to Ontario Hydro Regulations; enhancing operational efficiency and safety standards while reducing energy consumption• Developed technical specifications for medium voltage motor Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), optimizing procurement processes and reducing lead times while enhancing system reliability.
