About Brian Carcaterra

I am a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Administration. I went on to continue my education at NC State as a graduate student earning a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Industrial Engineering focusing on material processing, metal forming, and manufacturing. I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Advanced Metal Forming and Tribology Lab at NC State as well as a Teaching Assistant for two undergraduate level Mechanical Engineering courses (lecturer/lab TA for Introduction to Mechanical Engineering and equipment training/shop TA for Senior Design). I was an active member of my school\'s section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers as well as a Student Ambassador for the Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department. My primary interests lie in the fields of structures, solid mechanics, vibrations, and manufacturing, specifically with their applications in the aerospace and defense industries.
