I am an Army war veteran with over 20 years of experience dedicated to Information Systems and Management. I excel in the consulting world in positions like vCISO or vCIO. I started my IT career shortly after returning from Iraq as a copper/fiber installer for a local public school system. From that point forward, I have used my drive to expand my career. I have held positions of a Network Engineer, Director of IT, virtual Chief Information Officer, virtual Chief Information Security Officer, and Chief Information Security Officer. Some of the positions that I have held carried the responsibility and privilege of maintaining a Top-Secret Security Clearance. Currently, I lead a driven team with the goal of success focusing to improve the IT experience for customers, employees, and management. I am cultivating company policies to include SDLC, Security using NIST, and SOPs for department function. Diligently working with the IT budget to provide cost effective service while maintaining uptime and enhancing cybersecurity. Colleagues know me as a highly motivated and dependable individual who can always be trusted to come provide a solution and accomplish the mission. Utilizing values instilled in me by the Army, I train and mentor the next generation of IT professionals coming up in the field. I have degrees in Information Systems and Computer programming while continuing studies in Information Systems management. I hold and have earned several IT certifications in various areas of my career including, Cisco, VMware, and Microsoft.
