PM role within the Biosecurity New Zealand Portfolio Management Office.A mix of project, and programme management supporting the Biosecurity NZ Business teams to plan and deliver on priority initiatives.Projects Managed: Airport based X-ray Fleet Replacement - Border Clearance Services (2025-present)Procure and deploy industry leading X-ray technology and associated equipment at airports to support efficient screening of International inbound travellers. X-ray technology is one of the many tools MPI use to help protect New Zealand from harmful pests and diseases. This project will contribute to Biosecurity NZ initiatives including NZTD, Digital Border and the BCS Airports Programme.Mail Pathway X-ray Technology and Systems Integration - Border Clearance Services (20••••25)Deliver and integrate systems and technologies required for biosecurity operations in the newly built NZ Post owned and managed Auckland Processing Centre (APC). MPI implemented latest 2D and 3D X-ray detection technology for the International Inbound Mail environment. The Project had three joint parties, NZ Post - facility manager, NZ Customs Service and MPI Biosecurity. End to end review of the Bonamia ostreae surveillance programme - Office of the Chief Biosecurity Officer (2022)This project oversaw implementation of MPI improvements to accuracy and overall reliability of the Bonamia ostreae surveillance programme. Processes encompassing surveillance design, sample identification and tracking, testing, case definition, diagnostic reporting and communication of diagnostic results were revised. MPI maintains it\'s ongoing objective of protecting NZ\'s wild oyster fisheries.100% Container Checks Reporting - Border Clearance Services

An adaptive, enthusiastic and passionate project manager comfortable with business and IT initiatives with relevant and recent transformation programme experience. I use well-known frameworks as I approach any new initiative with 15+ years experience leading project teams to successfully deliver change primarily within complex government agencies. My project management capability has been honed through a series of information, data and change management focused roles. I\'m adept at leveraging traditional, and where practicable, Agile concepts to scope, manage and deliver business outcomes. Through my career I have completed PRINCE2, MSP, ITIL, COBIT and TOGAF certifications.In my current role I contribute to an internal MPI PMO led Project Management \'Boot Camp\'- set up to equip non-PMs with new skills and exposing them to the MPI Project Management Framework, templates and use cases. The uplift for internal capability has been well received by my participating colleagues and their leaders.
