   As the Senior Director of Engineering at Compass, I have led a global team of over 250 engineers across ~30 teams in diverse locations including the US, Argentina, Brazil, China, Vietnam, and India. In my role, I manage 3 Directors and ~20 engineering managers, focusing on developing and executing multi-year technical and business strategies for our Web, Mobile, and AI/ML platforms. My leadership extends to fostering seamless collaboration between engineering and non-technical departments such as finance, accounting, and operations to enhance process efficiency. I maintain direct communication with C-Suite executives to ensure alignment of engineering goals with broader business objectives. Additionally, I have spearheaded the recruitment, training, and onboarding of hundreds of engineers and multiple managers.Among my notable achievements is leading the integration of generative AI to empower Compass agents with modern LLMs, significantly enhancing productivity across the platform. I also launched the Compass Services platform with a distributed, event-driven architecture utilizing Kafka and Go services, which is projected to improve operational efficiency by 15% and boost top-line revenue. Furthermore, I launched a WYSIWYG editor with S3/RDS persistence and a Go microservice backend that has doubled the speed of marketing collateral creation and achieved 50% growth in monthly active users. Lastly, I implemented an internal continuous delivery solution using Go microservices on Docker and Kubernetes, resulting in an 80% increase in deployment speed.
