ABOUT BAUDOUIN PHILIPPE

Head of IDATE’s Smart City practice, for more than 20 years Philippe has proven his expertise in drafting public policies for digital development, on behalf of local authorities and federal government departments. He has gained a time-tested reputation for managing complex projects involving multiple partners, and in evaluating public policies and government projects devoted to digital innovation. His main areas of expertise include: • Providing local authorities and federal departments with assistance and strategic advice for defining ICT public policies; • Assistance in mounting innovative ICT projects with communities of specialised stakeholders, such as digital industry, education, healthcare and public sector players as well as local authorities; • Managing working groups and training programmes; • ICT project and programme assessment; • Digital services and applications; • Telecommuting, telecentres and third places, digital incubators; • Smart cities. Philippe is also involved in European projects devoted to local and regional development issues, new ICT-enabled applications and the assessment of action plans, projects and programmes. Philippe is a geographical economist, with an engineer’s degree in Regional Development from the Université de Lille 1/ENVAR.
