I qualified as a Solicitor in March 2021 and have been part of the Kennedys healthcare team since August 2019. I represent NHS Resolution and act on behalf of multiple NHS Trusts and NHS Resolution-indemnified GPs in clinical negligence cases. This involves-Carrying out investigations and advising on liability in both pre-action and litigated claims-Instructing medico-legal experts and reviewing expert reports-Obtaining comments/statements from clinicians-Gathering evidence by obtaining contemporaneous documents such as medical records, risks assessments, policy documents, internal investigations such as RCA, Serious Incident Investigations Reports etc-Advising on quantum-Assisting Senior Associates and Partners on high value claims including birth injury and complex neurological claims. I am experienced in dealing with cases in the majority of medical specialisms including surgery, neurology, oncology, orthopaedics, obstetrics, gynaecology, and psychiatric damage.
