James is Head of Clients and Markets and member of the Executive Committee in Dentons\' UK, Ireland and Middle East region as well as Co-Chair of Dentons’ Global Task Force on Ukraine Transformation. James has 25 years as a real estate litigator, is a Chambers \"Eminent Practitioner\" and leading Retail and Consumer Lawyer but, his current focus is ensuring Dentons delivers for clients and anticipates their needs. James and his team team specialise in managing and converging global client relationships, delivering “added value” and data driven insights and using his background as a commercial lawyer to understand client challenges and priorities and align the Dentons team to meet those objectives. His involvement in the Ukraine Transformation Task Force stems from his ability to look ahead and help clients navigate global opportunities and challenges. James has advised some of the very largest and best known global brands on complex international litigation including advice at the UK Supreme Court, multi-jurisdictional logistics and distribution issues, agency and distribution agreements, expansion into new markets and a wide range of commercial issues across multiple locations.James is an Advisory Board Member for Lawwithoutwalls - a unique global legal innovation, mentoring and collaboration programme working with Clients changing legal education and global working and solving complex legal and commercial problems.Continuing to invest in our colleagues, James is leading the groundbreaking collaboration between Dentons and The O-Shaped Lawyer. James is an Ambassador for the Retail Trust which, has been working since 1832 to improve the lives of colleagues working in retail.James is a Thompson Reuters “Stand out Lawyer 2026” and has, amongst other things, been awarded the International Office & Lexology Client Choice Award honouring practitioners for outstanding commitment to client service.
