ABOUT BASTIEN VANDENBROUCK
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages (International Development of SMEs) at Nantes Université, I am specializing in international business development with a strong focus on bridging Asian and Western markets. My academic and professional interests lie in supporting companies as they navigate internationalization challenges, leveraging intercultural understanding as a strategic driver of sustainable and profitable growth. I have recently started a six-month internship at the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan, based at the Kyushu office in Fukuoka. In this role, I contribute to initiatives supporting French and Japanese companies in their market development, while gaining hands-on exposure to Franco-Japanese economic relations, institutional environments, and cross-functional project coordination. This experience is strengthening my ability to operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and relationship management in a multicultural context. Previously, I completed a one-year academic exchange in Japan (2022–2023), which marked a defining stage in my professional trajectory. Beyond academic learning, this experience enabled me to develop a deep understanding of Japanese business culture, professional etiquette, and decision-making processes, as well as strong adaptability and interpersonal skills essential to building trust and long-term partnerships. In the medium to long term, I aim to actively contribute to the development and structuring of Franco-Japanese economic relations, particularly from France. Whether within institutional organizations such as Business France or within private companies engaged in trade and investment with Japan, my objective is to create tangible value by facilitating dialogue, supporting market entry and growth strategies, and building sustainable bridges between economic ecosystems.I am particularly motivated by roles that combine international strategy, project coordination, and relationship-driven business development, and I seek to continuously strengthen my ability to connect people, ideas, and markets in complex and competitive global environments.
