ABOUT BASSEM ALACHKAR
I hold a PhD in Signal Processing from Paris XI University, an MSc in Control and Signal Processing from Paris XI university, and an MSc in Computer Vision from Salford University. I also have Agregation in Applied Physics (France). I worked at HIAST (Damascus) as researcher-lecturer for about 15 years, and at SIRA-CSA (Chester-UK) as a Functional Safety Engineer for one year. Then I worked with the SKA group at the University of Manchester for more than 5 years. In March 2019, I started working at the SKAO as Signal Processing Domain Specialist. In December 2022, I started a new position in the SKAO as MID Telescope Domain Specialist.
