My nonfiction writing and poetry has found its way into numerous publications and I continue to pursue creative work while helping justice minded organizations succeed in their missions.As a proud first-generation college graduate, I hold an MA from NYU, specializing in digital humanities with a focus on my thesis project,\"If the Creek Don\'t Rise.\" This interactive archive and storytelling endeavor explores prison abolition in the Southeast. Additionally, I earned my BA in Creative Writing from The New School where my studies focused on poetry and creative writing.

I am the founder of Transilient, originally a traveling multimedia documentary project that candidly documented the everyday lived realities of transgender and non-binary people, using only their voices and stories, and produced entirely by a team of trans creators to prove we are #MoreThanTrans. I brought on trans fellows from the Southeast who gained experience and were paid to contribute to the work. I personally garnered all press coverage for the project, securing both national and international media hits. While our initial iteration took shape as a powerful photo and interview series, our next chapter will be a trans collective that produces trans and queer media and film. Our upcoming project is a full-length documentary titled Fixin’ to Stay. At its core, Transilient exists to create a platform that informs, affirms, and connects people, both within and beyond the trans community,through honest storytelling and radical collaboration.
