ABOUT BLIJDORP

I´m raised on the farm of my parents in the agricultural community in the province of Noord Holland. The passion for agriculture and farming were created in the daily activities in the farm. After finishing Basic and Mid School (HAVO degree) I started studying at the professional agricultural university CAH in Dronten. Besides studying for a bachelor degree in agriculture, I joint student association USRA and became active in several committees. My interest for economics, management and entrepreneurship were created during these years. It was therefore logic for me to apply for the full time management-track at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. The 16 month at Nyenrode was a very intensive periods in my life. Within Nyenrode I learned how important leadership, professionalism, relevant knowledge and ambition are for a modern business in a rapidly changing world. In January of 2010 I graduated with a master degree in general management. The most important elements for my first full time job were to be able to combine the knowledge from both educations. A position in Agrico active in the potato business enabled me to do this. The transition period from Agrico to Aviko Potato was a very intense but for me personally very new interesting period. After finishing the season for Agrico within Aviko Potato a new challenge for me emerged at KWS Potato. Within KWS Potato I was given the opportunity as Sales Manager specializing on Key Account Management of French Fries Processors, managing the potato subsidiaries in France and Russia and country manager for Benelux and Egypt. After 4 years working for KWS Potato I was given the opportunity by the KWS Group to become Regional Director Sugarbeets for Eastern Europe.
