Calcutta Girls\' High School (CGHS) is a heritage K-12 English medium academic institution founded in 1856 by Lord Canning, Governor General of India. It is affiliated to Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE, New Delhi) with 2500+ students. There are 2 project schools (Nihata Mission School & Indira Pathshala - Bengali & Hindi medium respectively) under the aegis of the school, which are functioning for the financially weak & underprivileged students of our society. Heading the academic, administrative & financial functions of the chain of schools, and responsible for overall management of all aspects of this prestigious 150 years+ educational body.Responsible for setting up & managing new campuses of CGHS in West Bengal and Jharkhand - ongoing projects include setup of K-12 schools in Asansol & Pakur.Managing a total staff strength of 160 full time & contractual employees. Direct reportees include Vice Principal, Senior Academic Coordinators, Office Superintendent, Finance Head, Junior/Middle/Senior Class Heads & subject teachers.
