My research interest includes wideband modeling and simulation of power systems for electromagnetic transient studies. I have experience in the electromagnetic modeling of transmission lines, cables, grounding systems, power transformers for transient and very fast transient studies. My current project is white-box modeling of power transformers with a focus on calculating eddy current, resistive loss, skin and proximity effects of rectangular conductors. Calculating ac resistance of rectangular conductors can have broad applications such as planar circuits, transformers, busbars, electrical machines, electric vehicles, wireless charging and more.
