I work at DV Trading (Chicago-based, but I’m remote) in a hybrid operations/developer role supporting the Treasury and Repo desks. Being at a smaller firm has given me the chance to take on a range of technical projects.One of the core initiatives I was brought on for was co-leading the migration of our vendor Matrix’s platform. This involved building reconciliation tools, running both systems in parallel, and identifying potential outages. After six months of work, we launched successfully without any major issues.Beyond that, I’ve developed a number of internal tools, including a bond calculator for backend developers, an automated trade rebooking process using sFTP, and Slack bots that monitor and notify on daily Treasury auction results. Every day looks a little different, and I’ve enjoyed the mix of ops and engineering challenges that come with the role.
