   After selling a business in the late \'90\'s, I was recruited into the financial services industry by a friend to help manage his rapidly growing insurance agency. I quickly came to two realizations: I wasn\'t very fond of managing other financial service representatives, and most financial services representatives weren\'t very good at managing finances. As a manager, I was frustrated by many representatives\' focus on products rather than people, and discovered that many \'financial advisors\' weren\'t much more knowledgeable about finances than the clients who places their trust in them. Clients expected and deserved more, so I made the decision to begin my own practice where the only thing I \'sold\' was my financial knowledge and experience, and got paid based on providing better financial outcomes for my clients and their families. In contrast to receiving a commission for selling financial products, my vision was and is to provide goal-focused financial advice and investment consulting for a clear and transparent fee. This approach to wealth management has been well-received, and I\'m humbled to report that, after two decades, our practice has grown to 3 advisors managing over $300 million for nearly 600 households. As a CFP® Practitioner, I work closely with those at or nearing retirement who need assistance with investments and advanced planning as they prepare to transition from the \'accumulation\' to the \'distribution\' phase of life.
