SKILLS
ABOUT BART DAUDELIN
I am a Labor Relations professional specializing in motion picture and tv production. I have worked internationally-in the US, UK, and Canada - as part of and/or in charge of team building and internal organizing outreach efforts in several major international production centers (London, Toronto, Montréal, Atlanta). I have a strong background representing artists, and have represented many kinds working in several industries. My experience ranges from major motion pictures shooting overseas to industrials and internet pieces to episodic television, commercials and live theatrical events. I have worked with highly complex contracts handling all types of workers, from highly paid artists to exempt supervisors and managers to per diem hourly employees. With each new industry and each new organization my ability to analyse and get to the heart of the matter- be it health care issues, contract enforcement or negotiations, research and record keeping, dispute resolution, employee counseling, economic forecasting, or reaching consensus- has increased. I have investigated and analyzed contractual disputes; negotiated and drafted settlement language on a pre-grievance basis; filed, settled, and drafted grievance settlements through the \"step\" process, testified at arbitrations and NLRB proceedings, and served as co-lead negotiator,\"number two\", and as member of bargaining teams, successfully completing dozens of agreements. I serve/have served as a Trustee to benefit and Taft-Hartley training programs. I oversee compliance with complicated employment eligibility lists. I have helped develop bargaining strategy for negotiations and internal policy for governance. I have handled disciplinary and discharge meetings, lay-off out of seniority cases, and all types of employment matters.
