In November 2023, Glasgow City Region was named as one of ten successful 5G Innovation Regions, and was awarded a share funding of £36 million from the UK Government for a range of ambitious projects.The GCR 5GIR programme is known as the Smart and Connected Social Places (SCSP) Programme and is driving forward five initial projects working at pace to deliver the blueprints, business cases and benefits plans by March 2025.The SCSP Programme is about keeping people safe, well, and socially connected in their homes and local communities. The programme will bring new innovation and harness the power of connectivity, digital and data to transform services and improve lives.On behalf of MCTC Ltd, Barry is there to ensure that the programme delivers on it\'s objectives and, in doing so, adheres to public sector regulations and standards regarding controls, governance, assurance, financial management and procurement rules. This involves ongoing management of the Programme Plan, Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Finances, Stakeholders and more.
