About Barry Lefer
Director of Research for the NASA Earth Science Division. I am interested in learning how observations and models improve our understand of the Earth system. In particular, how we can leverage satellite remote sensing to better inform decision makers. Also a huge fan of all things related to the the 5 spheres (Atmosphere, Biosphere, Cryosphere, Geosphere, and Hydrosphere). With a special place in my heart for airborne science, Earth system modeling, early career research, long term monitoring, and calibration/validation activities.
