ABOUT BARRY J. WILLIAMS

I have a very unique and complicated background as to how I arrived at WHO and WHAT I am today. Grew up in the rural countryside of Northern Kentucky, I eventually attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, where I graduated in the mid-80\'s with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism/Theatre. Shortly after graduating, I founded the Actor\'s Guild of Lexington, a now-professional theatre company that I nurtured and spearheaded in its infancy for the first 4 years of its existence. During this time, I directed, acted and produced over 40 stage plays and have long been a fan of helping new writers and fledgling playwrights with managing and co-directing new play reads throughout the country. In the early \'90\'s, I moved to Los Angeles and worked in the entertainment industry for the next 10 years, at various places including Walt Disney, CBS and Stephen J. Cannell Productions. I also directed a number of stage plays during that time that brought me great acclaim, including PSYCHO BEACH PARTY, WILD OATS, and WAGE SLAVES. In the early I moved back to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region and have worked, variously, as an Executive Administrator (Toyota Purchasing Division), hotel manager, waiter, and personal trainer. Somewhere in there I even had a 5-year stint with a marvelous non-profit organization dedicated to helping foster kids and kids from impoverished backgrounds. When you have as your primary fulcrum an \"artistic background,\" you must have a large umbrella to house all of your talents! I have about as unique a resume as you will hope to find-a streamlined fusion of administrative, artistic and \"front of house\" customer service related skills!
