   Working as part of the GOM D&C Drilling Engineering Department supporting the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit in managing both short and long term planning as well as in controlling program execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Work closely with the Asset groups, Plants and Operational Support groups to gather, analyze and reconcile all necessary data to allow execution of these plans.Responsibilities include:• Lead the Reservoir Management Team (RMT) or Exploration Team in developing specific well plans. • Active role in managing working interest partners during the planning and execution phase of projects. • Develop well designs and confirm pore pressure/fracture gradient predictions provided by internal SME. • Write drilling procedures for assigned wells. Document all well design changes using MOC process. • Provide technical support on daily drilling operations and is the primary contact for field engineering issues. • Provide full time engineering support to assigned drilling rig(s). • Provide internal and external benchmarking and end of well reports.• Assure assigned wells are properly permitted. Prepare plans and required documents for drilling permit and well containment. • Evaluates activities against pre-established goals. Makes recommendations based on evaluations. • Manage contracts and contractors to continuous improvement
