Barry focuses his litigation practice on complex commercial matters, primarily environmental disputes, antitrust investigations and litigations, defending clients against allegations of trade secret theft, and other complex business disputes. He has experience counseling both large and small companies throughout the various stages of civil litigation, including representing clients in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels. This work includes multiparty cleanup litigation under CERCLA, California\'s HSAA, trade secret misappropriation, trademark and copyright infringement, construction liability, product liability, insurance coverage, and an array of contract and business tort disputes.Barry also has extensive experience handling complex e-discovery issues and multilingual records, including managing large e-discovery teams and working effectively with clients to collect and efficiently review large quantities of complex data. He regularly follows the legal and commercial developments in e-discovery and ESI.Because contributing to the community is an important part of his role as an advocate, Barry also maintains a robust pro bono practice. In 2014, Barry successfully represented same-sex couples in overturning Arizona’s discriminatory marriage ban. Recently, Barry won a three-day trial in federal court for a pro bono client under the Federal Tort Claims Act.
