I\'m honored and humbled to be the first Seattle Chapter Chairperson of Friends of #AKIM USA. AKIM was founded in 1951 by Israeli parents to improve the State’s welfare system and enhance the quality of their children’s lives. Today, AKIM is the largest and most comprehensive provider of programs and services for the intellectually disabled—serving children, teenagers, adults, and senior citizens throughout Israel. I spent the whole day with top AKIM executives to learn the story of AKIM, successess and challenges. I\'m learning a lot and am excited for this opportunity. — at אקים ישראל Akim Israel.
