ABOUT BARNABY BRIDGES

In commencement of my degree of BSc Business Economics at Exeter University, I was opened up to a multitude of career options and advice. I am currently transitioning from the first to second year of my degree and actively seeking for summer internships. My passion lies in the financial sectors such as Investment Banking, Trading and Accounting. The interest I have in these areas has peaked during my time at Exeter.Lecturers and tutors highlight the dynamic problem solving skills you need to be successful, under which I thrive. I have gained in-office experience in Strategic communications which allowed explore more across a vast number of industries. Attending shareholder meetings, Preparing brief documents for senior management and boosting my Excel skills were just a few of the experiences I gained. This spring, I am attending a Spring insight week at RJ O\'Brien, shadowing their head of EMEA operations, during which I plan on broadening the extent of my personal skills and technical knowledge about trading derivatives. Alongside my university degree, I am a part of the Exeter university high performance program for hockey in which I captain the 2nd XI. Furthermore, I was awarded the role of student performance director that involves coordinating selection, supplies and management of 6 teams across the club. This responsibility has required personal developments in leadership, teamwork and personnel management.
