About Baris Paraskeva
Over the past decade I have focused on cybersecurity within the aviation industry, after working for around 15 years as an avionics systems engineer. I have developed a keen interest in understanding the next trends in cybersecurity, always with an eye on the customer or end user impact. I have learned that cybersecurity projects are destined to fail if stakeholder buy-in is not among the highest priorities. I currently focus on identity and access management specifically, with a special focus on external user access.

Setting the strategic direction for identity and access management architecture and tools. Researching trends in cybersecurity especially as they apply to cloud hosted applications and APIs. GDPR, PCI DSS and NIST / ISO 27002 compliance are key focus areas. Consultant for application team risk assessments, mostly with an identity and access management perspective. Cybersecurity requirements and processes are developed and flowed down to product teams.My main objective at this time is to find a way to implement zero trust principles across the enterprise without having a negative impact on product teams.
