ABOUT BARBRA GIRDLESTONE
I am more than just a Recruiter with over 15 years of experience, including 10 years working for Robert Half International in both their temporary and direct hire divisions. I have a knack for picking up on the little details that help make the right placement for an organization or department. I have been responsible for managing up to 120 requisitions at a time (no, that is not a typo) and have done so with the outward appearance of keeping it together while inside I may have been dying a little. I have a sense of humor, see previous sentence, I can engage with candidates and managers effortlessly, and nothing makes me happier than finding the right fit for a job.I have recruited for positions from entry-level office and administrative positions, up to the VP of Finance. If I\'ve never recruited for a certain title, I will take the time to research and sit with the manager until I understand what they need. I also guide managers if their wish list is too long, and help them see that sometimes you can\'t just go by the resume. I managed the on-boarding process, ensuring new hires cleared all steps before attending orientation. I supervise with grace and understanding, along with humor. I make people feel welcome, important, and part of the team. I can see a process through from start to finish, being more of the “big picture” person. But, my previous experience working in accounting allows me to dig into the details when needed. I have led the upgrade of an ATS and enjoy finding efficiencies and improving processes. I am a team player who can also work independently. I thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the search as well as fostering a team environment.
