About David Barber
In 2022, David Barber and Elizabeth Barber obtained the largest reported trial verdict in Kentucky history for negligent security or alcohol country and state has strong protections against businesses which are lax on safety at the expense of their customers, their employees, and their communities. We help people stand up to businesses who don\'t respect the rules. Common sense safety rules, like those for safe service of alcohol, are meant to keep people who are drinking from getting out of hand, and look out for folks attending a concert or event. The privilege of making money by selling alcohol, or running a business open to the public comes with simple responsibilities. The safety rules are readily understandable and available to any business with the right to sell alcohol or profit from property in our communities. Injuries always follow when a business chooses to let safety rules slip, and those choices are usually related to a short-sighted interest in profits. When those businesses or their insurance companies won’t take responsibility, even when it’s clear, we step in to ensure our clients are treated fairly and that their damages are fairly valued. When you hire me to help, I’m the attorney who handles your case from start to finish. If you\'ve found me, someone you know probably has also. Our best clients are referred by other attorneys, doctors, current and former clients, as well as friends and neighbors in the community and around the region. David Barber has successfully presented his clients\' cases to juries at all levels of Kentucky\'s state and federal court system, and is also admitted to practice in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. Practice areas:Dram Shop-When a business chooses to to serve alcohol to someone who is already intoxicated or underage, and someone gets hurt, it\'s foreseeable. Our laws confirm that choosing to serve alcohol to minors and people who are already becoming intoxicated creates an unreasonable risk that places them and their communities in danger.Negligent Security-When a business chooses to be lax in looking out for the safety of its customers, employees, and its community, everyone is put in unnecessary danger.Automobile, trucking, motorcycle, and pedestrian wrecks.Nursing home injuries.
