Barbara Zanuttigh is Full Professor of Coastal Hydraulics at the University of Bologna since October, 2022. She holds a PhD in Hydraulic Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan (2002) and more than 20-years post-doctoral experience in the field of coastal structures and flood defences. She has carried out the research in cooperation with many Universities and Research Institutes, developing good team-working skills and a strong enthusiasm for interdisciplinary topics, specifically for the new research frontiers of coastal flood defence strategies such as eco-friendly and cost-effective measures, including both technological and non-technological solutions, and wave energy resources and multi-use marine areas to boost circular economy. She is author of more than 100 publications in international refereed journals and conference proceedings, achieving an h-index equal to 35 and more than 3600 citations (source: Scopus).
