ABOUT BARBARA HODECKER

I am a professional enthusiastic about soil fertility, plant nutrition, and plant physiology. My expertise includes projects on abiotic stress and nutrition of plants using different tools to evaluate the main alterations in plant metabolism under stress conditions such as photosynthetic rate, stable isotopes 13C, 18O, and 11B, antioxidative enzymes, carbohydrates concentration, gene expression, and nutrients contents. I am passionate about teaching and have experience with subjects such as Plant Biochemistry, Soil Fertility, Forest Management, Statistics, and Scientific Methodology for over four years and in plant and soil lab techniques for over ten years. I have great experience working with controlled or slow-release fertilizers, such as polymer-coated urea, polymer-coated MAP, micronutrients (oxide, oxy-sulphate, and sulphate forms), elemental Sulphur and foliar fertilizers complexed in chelates chemical components. In addition, my experience includes using bio-stimulants in agriculture (seed treatment and foliar application). During my experience working in the fertilizer industry, I enjoyed generating new ideas and devising feasible solutions to broadly relevant soil farm problems while executing market development plans, managing field experiment trials, and developing technical and scientific material.
