ABOUT BARBARA NORDLUND

I believe leading and learning are an organic process, ever-changing as technology advances & we learn new things. Every voice matters, and each team member brings a unique genius to an office. Bessolo Design Group BIM Manager Role: We are innovating and developing a collaborative work environment. Each day I show up and lead by example. Since working at Bessolo and KEM, we have worked through 3 projects to create Revit templates and content Warehouse/Container files. In addition, we developed a comprehensive set of BIM standards for the full-service A&E firm. The Revit group comprises 23 users with varying degrees of knowledge in Architecture, Interior Design, Structural, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering. Chancey Architecture Senior Project Manager Role: managed projects ranging in size from $100k – $40 million, various projects types, specializes in multifamily residential and healthcare design, responsible for the coordination of design and quality control, contracts and coordinates with structural, mechanical, and electrical consulting engineers, analyzes bids, and works with the owners and general contractor throughout the construction process. Projects with CDP include a Head Injury Center for New Medico Florida Institute for Neurological Rehabilitation, an award-winning 14-million-dollar renovation for the Fountains at Boca Ciega Senior Housing. Additional projects include Windward Passage, Phillips Development Apartments, PDQ Restaurants, 1900 98 Condos, The Watermark at Vistawilla, The Watermark of Trinity Assisted and Independent Living Facilities, & The Watermark of Marco Island. The integration of architecture, interiors, structural and MEP coordination is essential. Therefore, I enjoy staying involved in every aspect of design work, from space planning, design, and development of working drawings to selecting and specifying interior finishes, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
