Every day I learn something new is a good day.”I love learning and teaching, and I channel this passion toward helping make a difference in the lives of other people.Writing is now the key professional service I offer, after retiring from a background in Healthcare Education. It allows me to continue having a positive impact.I work with organizations to enhance their marketing communications, through writing website pages, case studies, blog posts, and emails. A specific focus-area of mine is travel for people with disabilities and chronic pain. I offer writing services for travel companies, cruise lines, and the vacation industry who are wanting to attract more travelers with disabilities and to address accessibility needs. As someone who has both of these challenges, I enjoy discovering and sharing about the best travel options. I tap into my own experiences as a traveler and also as a seasoned educator, clinician, and writer. Some of my “passion projects” are:• A website to help people with disabilities and chronic pain travel well. I want to bring options to seniors with accessibility problems who are wanting to travel.• Writing children’s books, with “Gabe the cat” as the star. The stories help children navigate difficult topics, such as homelessness, through Gabe’s rascally adventures.• Helping people eat healthily while on a tight budget through an informational website. It’s not just about eating cheaply but also about freeing up income to help pay off debt, and save or invest for the future.I’m trained in writing through American Writers & Artists Institute (AWAI). And in UX through Coursera.My previous work in healthcare education was focused on clinical pharmacy and educational administration and leadership.
