ABOUT BARBARA DE MICHELI
Currently I am employee at Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini coordinating the Social Justice Unit and Social Inclusion, Gender Equality, Industrial Relations and Fundamental Rights projects. I recently obtained my Phd on Labour, Innovation and Organizations at Fondazione Marco Biagi Modena, with a final thesis on the relation between space and organisation. I have nearly 24 years experience in designing and managing EU funded projects, mastering the whole process from scouting the call, finalising the partnership, selecting the team of experts, defining the budget, supervising the finalisazion of the proposal, coordinating and assessing the team in the delivery of outputs, managing the relation with the funding authorities. I am used to build up and coordinate project oriented teams involving experts with multidisciplinary background coming from different EU countries. At FGB I integrate my business development and management tasks with research activities in the field of institutional change and diversity and inclusion with a specific interest for gender equality as a cross cutting issue. I have been involved in the coordination team of two FP7 projects (Genis Lab and Genport) and I am actually part of the H2020 Target team. I am often involved in designing and delivering training sessions to an Italian and EU audience on Diversity, Inclusion & Innovation, Gender Equality. Since 2012 I am coordinating FGB Master on Diversity Management and Gender Equality (13 ed. in 10 years), which in 2021 saw its first EU edition. In my 8 years as director of my own consulting firm, EXA TEAM, I have developed leadership skills combined with competences on change management in SMEs, team leading and team building, transnational networking and communication, enterprise start up and mentoring. I am committed in promoting gender equality, and since 2013 I am part of the board and of the authors of ingenere.it, web magazine proposing a gendered view on economic, political and social European debate; since January 2016 I am part of the Scientific Committe of the 30%club.it. In the last 3 years I have been supporting many organisation in defining their Gender Equality Plans. Among others Fondazione Regionale Ricerca Biomedica Regione Lombardia, Institute Pasteur, Ospedale San Raffaele, Università Vita Salute, Toscana Lifescience Foundation I am an happy mother of two.
