As an incoming MS-SLP student at UNC-Chapel Hill, I am committed to cultivating the technical knowledge, cultural responsiveness, and clinical competencies I\'ll employ in my anticipated career as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I have a well-rounded array of work, volunteer, and leadership experiences as well as a lifelong passion for language, healthcare, and childcare. Observing speech and language intervention for the past three years in academic, outpatient medical, and private clinical settings has steadily fueled my eagerness to enter the CSD field and help people communicate, grow, and learn.

   Observed and practiced SOAP note writing, evaluation, and treatment of disorders, including speech sound, phonological, apraxia, voice, dysphagia, craniofacial, laryngeal, resonance, social communication, and autism spectrum disorder.• Conducted thorough inventory and storage optimization of laryngectomy care supplies to ensure appropriate supply availability and facilitate smooth clinical proceedings.• Fed patients test boluses and liquids during FEES exams after establishing patient rapport to maintain continuity of care with clinician and boost patient receptiveness to said care.• Created comprehensive Hearing and Speech Center alumni network to maintain clinic connections with former students, facilitate cross-referrals, and share research findings.• Compiled detailed referral database for clinicians to easily access provider information across three states.• Completed necessary immediate tasks and clinical accommodations.
