Responsible for the delivery of legal services across all of the Baker companies in California, Nevada and Arizona as well as being the principal lawyer for Baker Electric & Renewables LLC and Baker Electric Home Energy. • Provides legal support in all aspects of the day-to day functioning of the business, including but not limited to: attending meditations and arbitrations; managing outside counsel; drafting, maintaining, negotiating, and updating construction and commercial contracts; assisting with risk management; working with business leaders to identify and implement process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.• Manages the complete contract organization and the drafting and negotiation of a variety of large strategic international contracts of all types and modifications thereto for eleven different divisions and various companies. •Identifies legal issues, develop solutions and provide guidance to management on resolving complex issues while ensuring the contract administration process supports the objectives of the assigned program areas. Advises management of contractual rights, issues, and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions and collaborates with management in the development of new business or expansion of existing business opportunities.
