Ashgate Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care for adults with life-limiting illnesses across North Derbyshire, in the hospice, in the community and at home. Every year we care for over patients and their families, making every day as comfortable, pain-free and full of life as possible. Ashgate is rated outstanding by the CQC and has a full range of services provided by a multi-disciplinary team at the forefront of specialist palliative care provision. We employ 340 staff and 650 volunteers and play a key strategic role in the Derbyshire healthcare system.We are a charity and it costs over £11 million ever year to provide these vital services. Less than 30% of our funding comes from the NHS and every year we have to raise the remaining funds through donations, legacies and income raised through our network of shops and coffee shops, as well as the Ashgate Hospice Lottery and the Ashgate Furniture Co.
