About Barb Bamberger
Barbara serves as core staff on the California Cap and Trade Program and the California Forest Offsets Program and Tropical Forest Standard. She has been with CARB\'s Climate Change group since 2008, working on carbon accounting and climate change, as well as regulatory development and implementation. She works regularly with stakeholders at all levels and State and Federal agencies. Barbara holds two masters degrees from the Yale School of Forestry and from the Sustainable International Development Program at Brandeis University\'s Heller School of Social Policy. Barbara received a B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and is a proud cheesehead. Barbara has served as lead scientist in several studies on the impact of natural resource extraction on local communities; she spent four years analyzing the oil and gas impacts on Alaska Native communities in the North Slope of Alaska, and worked with local government developing local climate change plans. Her work has always centered on the impact of natural resource policy on local and indigenous communities.
