ABOUT BAPLU RAI
I am an immunologist with a strong background in both research and applied science. Passionate about my work, I bring a goal-oriented mindset to every project. Outside the lab, I am a dedicated marathon runner and happily married. My PhD research played a pivotal role in advancing a clinical study for cutaneous leishmaniasis in Mexico. As a self-taught bioinformatician, I have implemented 10x and BD single-cell RNA sequencing pipelines and conducted in-depth downstream analyses using R and MetaboAnalyst for LC-MS metabolomics data. In my role as a scientific advisory board member, I also facilitate collaborative efforts between Nepal and Germany. I specialize in innate immunity, myeloid cells, infection immunology, and immune metabolism. My work has been recognized through co-authorship in three peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences in Colombia, France, Austria, Nepal and Germany.
