Combining non-profit management expertise and community organizing skills, I lead and support AARP vision of health security, financial stability and community engagement for our over members, as well as all people fifty and over throughout Oregon.Day to day responsibilities include leading professional staff and affiliated volunteers and management of a downtown Portland-based state office to direct and oversee advocacy, education and outreach, and external communication functions focusing on supporting family caregivers, strengthening Oregon’s long-term care system, fighting fraud and building financial resilience, and supporting communities to become livable for people of all ages and abilities.
