ABOUT BAMINI JAYABALASINGHAM

I’m a people-oriented research leader with a passion for translating data into client-driven products. My work requires uniting cross-functional teams and guiding them to build complex deliverables that help organizations apply their data more effectively. This means that I usually serve as the vision keeper and conduit between the needs of the business and the science and technology that power it. A technical background with rigorous research experience enables me to serve as Head of Research at Elsevier North America where I lead a specialized team that consults with and serves clients in the science, education and technology spaces. Our work has included delivery of transformative reports and development of innovative crowd-sourced and web-based data capabilities. Prior to Elsevier, I worked in in the public sector, shaping healthcare policy in Canada and the U.S. I also have earlier career experience working for a biotech incubator where I supported the development of successful spin-off companies. As an engaged manager, I strive to create inclusive and equitable environments for participation, innovation and shared successes.
