As an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems at Arkansas State University – Mountain Home, I will lead instruction in networking technologies with a primary focus on Cisco certification pathways such as the CCNA. In this role, I will deliver classroom and hands-on lab instruction using Cisco Packet Tracer and physical networking equipment, while preparing students for industry-recognized credentials and workforce readiness. In parallel, I will collaborate with institutional leadership to expand the program’s long-term vision by integrating emerging areas such as data science, data literacy, and instructional design. This includes supporting the development of future curricula that empower students with analytical thinking, data-informed decision-making, and digital fluency. By blending practical technical training with forward-looking academic design, I aim to contribute to a modern, adaptive CIS program that meets the evolving needs of the region’s learners, employers, and communities.
